Brown Walker Planners
sustainable communities through planning
Brown Walker Planners (formerly Taintor & Associates) in collaboration with Daphne Politis of Community Circle is assisting the Boston Chinatown community with preparation of the Chinatown Master Plan 2010. Phase I, which wrapped up in November 2009, articulated a vision and goals for the neighborhood and identified community challenges, opportunities, and priorities. We are now embarking on Phase II, helping community members to create a consensus document that will guide development and support social, economic and cultural vitality for this unique neighborhood.
Working closely with Chinatown’s Master Plan Oversight Committee our goal is to involve residents, business owners, institutional representatives and City agencies and departments. Our consulting team has been working to ensure that all stakeholders are given an opportunity to express their concerns and desires and that the plan addresses these concerns and desires in an integrated and comprehensive fashion.
