Maine Street Station Site Redevelopment Master Plan
Brunswick, ME (2005)

Brown Walker Planners (formerly Taintor & Associates), was part of a larger team including MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Gates, Leighton & Associates and PDT Architects to finalize a plan for the redevelopment of a brownfields site located in the heart of Brunswick’s downtown along an active rail line.

The team led a series of well-attended public information sessions that culminated in a day-long design charrette. The team tested design concepts for economic feasibility, and refined them into an overall Master Plan for redevelopment.

Architectural renderings and three-dimensional modeling helped participants envision their desired development for the site, and two perspective drawings clearly communicated the Town’s desired for a high-quality, pedestrian-oriented mixed use development.

This final plan was completed and presented to Town Council in 2006.
