Participants
The Corridor Advisory Group (CAG) includes representatives from each of the 13 municipalities and regions through which the scenic byway passes. The CAG is scheduled to meet 6 times during the project’s 21-month timetable and to provide general guidance and oversight on the development of the Corridor Management Plan. For a list of CAG members click here.
The Local Advisory Groups (LAG) are a subset of the Corridor Advisory Group and are comprised of residents, business owners, civic leaders, and other community stakeholders. Their role is to provide guidance to the CAG and local insight to the planning process. For more details about the role and responsibilities of the Local Advisory Group members click here.
All meetings of the CAG and LAG are public, and LAG members are welcome to participate in CAG meetings.
Project Management and Oversight
Funding for the Corridor Management Plan project was provided by a National Scenic Byways Program grant from the Federal Highway Administration to the Essex National Heritage Commission, and is administered by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Transportation. Both the Commission and the Massachusetts Scenic Byway Coordinator are closely involved in all phases of the project.
Consulting Team
The Corridor Management Plan is being prepared by a team of consultants with expertise in land use, natural and historic resources, transportation and tourism.
