Brown Walker Planners (formerly Taintor & Associates), Inc. assisted the Town of Merrimack, New Hampshire in the development of standards and regulations for review and approval of Conditional Use Permits for mixed-use development in the Town’s I-1 Industrial District.  Working directly with the Community Development Department and Planning Board, the firm crafted regulations that provide flexibility for potential developers while giving the Town the tools it needs to effectively evaluate proposed projects and require appropriate mitigation. Services included assessing existing regulations to ensure compatibility and minimize repetition of supporting regulations and providing support at public hearings on the proposed standards and regulations.
