After 10 years as Planning Director for Framingham, Rick Taintor co-founded Whiteman & Taintor consulting (based in Massachusetts and Colorado) in 1993. The company became Taintor & Associates, Inc. in 2001.
Juliet T. Hansel Walker, Senior Planner and President, has ten years of planning experience in New England. Juliet has managed the completion of planning studies in towns in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut and is skilled at public outreach and facilitation, open space planning, comprehensive and master planning, and land use analysis. Juliet also has technical ability in web page design. She is proficient in ArcGIS and ArcView and has performed a number of community-wide and area-specific buildout analyses. Before joining Taintor & Associates in 2003, Juliet worked as a Community Planner with the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, a unit of the National Park Service spanning 24 communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
A native of New Hampshire, Juliet has a Masters of Regional Planning from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Sue Brown, Landscape Architect and Vice President of Taintor & Associates, has over twelve years of planning experience with a focus on building communities. Since joining Taintor & Associates, Sue has participated in and led a variety of projects including development review for commercial and residential developments in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Before joining Taintor and Associates in 2007, Sue worked for five years as project manager for the Boston Parks Department. In this capacity Sue represented the City of Boston on landscape development issues related to parks and public spaces of the Central Artery/Tunnel Project.
A Maine native, Sue earned her Masters in Landscape Architect from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine, Presque Isle. Sue is currently chair of the Bartlet Mall Park Commission in Newburyport.

Rick Taintor has more than 25 years of planning and community development experience, including over a decade in municipal government. In 2009, Rick became Planning Director for the City of Portsmouth, but continues to assist with the firm’s projects and operations.
Rick has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and a Master of Science degree from the University of Maine.
